Sofia graduated from University of Punjab in 2001, with subsequent hospital training in Pakistan and General Practice Training in England. She has been working as an independent General Practitioner in UK since 2008.

She enjoys the breadth and depth of family medicine / general practice. Sofia has special interest in Women and Child Health, care of elderly and management of chronic diseases. She has experience of minor surgical procedures, contraception implant and intra-uterine devices insertion, management of mental health problems and enjoys understanding the psychological basis of disease. She is dedicated to general practice teaching and continuing professional development.

When not at work, Sofia enjoys being a mother of 2 children and having fun-time with family and friends. Her hobbies are listening to music and reading books.
